Petition

Petition for Initiation

According to American usage any person who is desirous of initiation into the mysteries of Freemasonry must apply to the Lodge nearest to his place of residence, by means of a petition signed by himself, and recommended by at least two members of the Lodge to which he applies. A petition, when read, becomes the property of the Lodge and cannot be withdrawn. β€” ( 1 John 5:15 )
