Labour to Refreshment
When expediency requires the suspension of the work of the Lodge for some special reason, the Worshipful Master may suspend active labour by instructing the Junior Warden to 'Call the Craft from Labour to Refreshment' without formally closing the Lodge. When the Master subsequently calls the Lodge back to labour it is called 'Resuming Labour.' During the period of 'Refreshment,' the members and officers may freely circulate and leave the lodge room.
