There is an honorary or side Degree by this title, conferred only on Royal Arch Masons and their wives. Two Samaritans must be present, one of whom must be a Royal Arch Mason. It is a degree of great dignity and enforces the lessons of aid for the unfortunate. The fate of Lot's wife also has a place in the ritual of this degree.
