Gedaliah
Gedaliah - Jehovah has become great
Five persons by this name are mentioned in the Scriptures, but only one is definitely known to have been contemporary with the destruction of the Temple. That was Gedaliah, a son of Pashur, and a prince at the court of Zedekiah. It is this Gedaliah, and not the one who was afterwards made governor of Judah by Nebuchadnezzar, who is repressed by the second officer in a Council of Superexcellent Masters. — ( Jeremiah 38:1 )
