The operative masons engaged in the building of King Solomon's Temple laid deep and solid the foundations of that notable structure; so strong were these foundations that in utter destruction of the temple by Nebuchadnezzar, the foundation stones remained intact. Hence, Speculative Masonry stresses the necessity for a firm and solid foundation in the building of character. — ( Luke 21:5,6 - Ephesians 2:20 - 2 Tim. 2:19 - 1 Kings 5:7,8 )
