Closing a Lodge

Adjournment by motion is unknown in a Masonic Lodge; the ceremony for closing is solemn and imperative; it must never be omitted, performed in a hurried or careless manner, nor abbreviated. The Worshipful Master alone can dismiss the Brethren, and only in conformity to established usage.
