Adam – Earthborn

In the Biblical record of man's creation and of the name given to him, which denoted that he was derived from the ground, are symbolized in the Entered Apprentice degree as the candidate comes into his first perception of Masonic Light.

Also, in the Twenty-Eighth Degree of the "Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite," the presiding officer of the "Knights of the Sun" is called "Father Adam," symbolic of his investigation of the great truths which concern the interest of the race.
